Hexy - HM - built by David Buckley 1990
Based on a design by G Drapper, Radio Control Models & Electronics, March 1965.
Maybe the first 'reverse to turn' phototropic vehicle, using one photosensor, one motor and one relay.
Built May 1990.
Size - 6" * 6"
Operational area - 3ft * 3ft.
A light seeking vehicle, designed by G Draper, Radio Control Models & Electronics March 1965.
Maybe the first 'reverse to turn' phototropic vehicle, using one photosensor, one motor and one relay.

Hexy was built using parts that either were or could have been in my bits box in 1965 which is the date of the original article.

The SPCO relay is one I made in 1965.
At the back of the tapered top tube is a large LDR.
The RHS wheel is directly driven.
The LHS wheel has a double ratchet so it can only be driven forwards.
